About Us
We met at “Babies
by the Sea: Birth Center” in Key West, Florida. This was an amazing place
where Midwives and OB/GYN’s worked together; providing families with many
beautiful and empowering water births and a natural childbirth experience. Dr.
Kelley was a partner in the practice, and Mari worked as a Doula, birth and
administrative assistant and prenatal yoga instructor.
When Dr. Kelly became pregnant with her first child, she began attending Mari’s
prenatal yoga class. Because this class so profoundly enhanced her pregnancy,
Dr. Kelley approached Mari with the concept of producing a yoga video so that
all women could enjoy the benefits of prenatal yoga. At that time in the mid
90’s, there where only three prenatal yoga instructional videos on the
market and very few classes available.
Inspired with the idea of video production, and with a passion for changing
the world with prenatal yoga, they set out to make this dream a reality. With
the video production assistance of Abracadabra Production company, “Birthwell
Yoga; for Pregnancy and Childbirth Preparation” was born. Finally this
wonderful class that was being practiced by so many Key West mommy’s,
could be easily accessible, shared. and enjoyed by pregnant women everywhere.
This program is brought to you with love and blessings for a very happy, healthy,
and rewarding pregnancy and childbirth.
