Mari Oxenberg was the greatest blessing during my son Sasha’s birth. It was a very difficult, natural birth and Mari was there 100% physically and spiritually. Mari’s combination of total confidence and total calm was so wonderful. It inspired so much confidence to know she is actually a registered nurse! When we came home, Sasha slept with her so that my husband and I could get some sleep. Her presence at our home those first few days was absolutely priceless. Any mom would be so lucky to have Mari in her inner circle of support during childbirth and afterwords.

It’s been almost 11 years since we first met. Jonah is in 5th grade now and Ana just started kindergarten. Alix is 3 and going to preschool. You were great to have in my corner…or tub…twice! How amazing that I found you to be my Doula again five years after Jonah was born. What luck that you had moved to the Northeast as well and turned out to be only 45 minutes away! I’ll never forget what an awesome experience you helped create! I missed you the third time, but you would have never made it. I was 8cm when I arrived at the Birth Center. I just made it into the tub in time to push. The whole thing took 20 min. You’re the best!

Mari was probably the most important person present at the birth of my son. My midwife could not believe how fast we were working together. In just 7 hours, I went from 3 cm to 10 cm, working it, visualizing it…. “Mind over matter, melt your cervix away,” she kept saying – and it worked! Mari was there for every contraction, and made me feel like the most precious person in the whole wide world! She is now part of our lives and there is not one day that we don’t think of her. Thank you Mari, we love you!

Lyndsey’s support was invaluable to us throughout my labor and even after delivery. She was just the right mix of the voice of authority and a nurturing, calming presence, leaving me with the feeling that “it will be alright” with her there. She seemed to intuitively know just the right thing to say and do when things got tough and I am so grateful for all her help in welcoming my son to the world. And when I had questions about breastfeeding after delivery, Lyndsey again was a very responsive and reassuring resource. It was really a pleasure working with her and I’d recommend her in a heartbeat.

I am so grateful we had Lyndsey. The pre-birth support was just as valuable as the labor and delivery support. We love our doula!

I would never have been able to go through 22 hours of natural/non-medicated labor without Lyndsey’s support and guidance–not only her knowledge, but calm presence was invaluable.

Lyndsey proved to be an unconditional source of support, comfort and strength for me both throughout my pregnancy and childbirth, and postpartum as well. I felt like I could call her at any time to discuss any concerns and she was the source of strength, support and nurture, other than my husband, that I needed so much to get through my labor…I don’t know if I could have labored the way I did without Lyndsey there!

Mari was an incredible help after our son Cassius was born. With her sweet, calm, energy and love to go around, she helped make early motherhood a blessing. Mari has an incredible way with infants and mamas alike. Between soothing songs, breastfeeding tips, homeopathic treatments, and delicious cheesy eggs, our new baby’s home was better because of Mari’s presence. Her breadth of knowledge, kindness, and compassion helped bring positive energy, healing, and confidence to us as first time parents.

Julie’s support and care for me and my new baby after the delivery was exceptional. It was so lovely to have Julie in our home feeding us yummy food she made and really helping out with the baby. I’m so grateful that she was a part of the first days of our new family life, we will never forget her kindness.
