...As your birth Doula

Mari with midwifes Gazelle and Beth We will have an initial interview where we will meet and discuss your birth vision. It is important that your partner be present for this. I will discuss my practice and go over the contract with you.

Then, if you choose to hire me, you will send me the signed contract with the deposit we have agreed upon. Once I have received the contract and deposit, I will consider you in my care and block off the week before and the week after your due date on my calendar.

I will be available to you 24/7 to answer your many questions, provide emotional support, and prenatal consultation.

We will have 2 more prenatal visits together where we may review your birth vision, discuss your fears and beliefs, answer any questions you may have, practice pre-natal yoga, and teach valuable breathing techniques for pain relief.

Then, when you go into labor, I will meet you at your home and support you through the early stages of labor. When the time is right, we will go to the hospital or birth center together. There I will support and advocate for you during the birth of your child. I will remain with you for an hour or so after the birth to assist with breastfeeding, newborn support and bonding. Then I will come to your home for one postpartum visit to go over your birth story, get feedback, and admire your baby.
