Mari Oxenberg, RN

I graduated from Pine Manor College in Boston in 1995 with a BA in Art History, and was introduced to the world of birthing when I witnessed the birth of my god-child in Moab, Utah. At that moment I knew that this was my path. I moved down to Key West, Florida, and was given a job at Babies By the Sea Birth Center. I was so fortunate to receive birth and labor training from some of the best Midwives, RN's and Ob/GYN's in the business. In exchange for administrative work and cleaning after the births, I was taught the sacredness and beauty of natural and gentle water birth. The Midwives trained me how to support women in labor and how safe birth actually is.

After the closing of the Birth Center, I became a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor at Integral Yoga Institute in Virginia. This course was developed by Midwives and is truly a childbirth preparation class.
